Hi,
This is my first time applying to this program for the Fall 2023 cohort. I was under the impression that Glendale college does not have a point system but rather a pure lottery system. The only requirement I was made aware of is that all your prerequisites must have a "C" grade or higher. Are you thinking of applying anywhere else?

I believe your right, they are a lottery system, so many schools to keep track of haha
Yeah, tell me about it! Are you applying there also? Do you have any family or friends who have already gone through the program?

yes! I also am applying, but I don't really know anyone that has been in the program. do u?
No I don't. I've tried looking on reddit, to see if I could get some info on what to expect from the nursing programs Im applying for but I don't get much info. Im curious to know how much of the exams are based on the powerpoints or the book.

Hello! This is my first attempt at applying to Glendale Community College! Super nervous, I have applied to 8 other schools in the area and even up north (Im desperate). My TEAS score was 78.7%. I hear only good things from Glendale, I heard of them through a friend.

yeah Glendale has a nice campus too. The thing about Glendale CC though is their pick of the liter is based solely on lottery so if you get in, it's on pure luck! Good luck! Keep us posted if you get into any other program.
What other programs have you applied too?
I applied at Chaffey, ELAC, Glendale, Bakersfield, Mt. SAC, Citrus.
I have applied to College of the Canyons (but this is one tough school to get into so I don't have high expectations) Antelope Valley College, LA Pierce College, Pasadena College (Applications open April 1 - April 15), Butte Community College, Shasta College, and Bakersfield. I had to make an excel sheet because trying to keep up with all these ID numbers and portals is insane. My head is spinning.
Thank you for letting me know about Glendale, I had no idea, honestly, I have been a bit naive when it comes to applying to nursing programs. I didn't know how tough it would be to get into one!

Hi guys! I took all my prerequisites at GCC and am hoping to get in since I live so close. I hope we can all make it in!

Hi, I also applied to the Bakersfield program. I was below the average by 2 pts. Have you heard back from them yet?

Hi! I know right! How cool would it be that if two of us on this message board make it into the program. Have you taken your TEAS yet?
