Hey that's okay I got rejected from a few schools but I also got accepted into others that might not have been my first choice. Not sure how far you're willing to travel but look at applying to LACC, ELAC, Pasadena CC, Chaffey, la county, https://dhs.lacounty.gov/college-of-nursing-and-allied-health/, LA trade tech
don't give up!
I am currently a nursing student at GCC. The selection is based on lottery. If you don't get chosen the first time then they keep your file for 1 year (if I remember correctly) and include it in the next lottery pick. So you have a good chance of being picked. Most people get in during the 2nd lottery pick. Majority of my classmates were all A+ students with high TEAS score, over 85-95%. I like lottery because it gives everyone a fair shot.
There are a lot of changes going on in the college right now because they got accredited nationally and other factors.
The teachers are awesome, with 2-3 being an exception, and really want you to learn and be the best nurse you can be.
Material is based on power points and the book.
class size is between 28-30 students.
LVNs can apply to the generic program at GCC
Parking can be crazy
clinical sites : adventist, keck usc, county, glendale memorial, huntington, st. joseph, barlow
The overall cost is 8K but with financial aide and waiver you are looking at 2K with books, tuition, fees and other expenses included.
I love this school and it was the best choice, I got chosen on the second lottery pick. I applied for fall (didn't get in) and got accepted for Spring

Do you know how many applicants there were for your cohort?
wow nursewithagoal forst of all thank you for taking time and responding with all this great information, I appreciate it! we just received an email about a delay on the first acceptance date, they are behind and will send out the first notifications November 1st, and not October 1 like they had planned. So now the waiting is more intense. >.< I have a 93.7 on TEAS and All good GPA, so hoping for the best ??

I'm really hoping I get selected for Spring. Do you know about how many overall applicants there were for your cohort?
