Hi all,
I wanted to start a new thread for the Spring 2023 application period at Glendale Community College (GCC) ADN program. Hoping that we can keep each other updated during this process. This will be my 3rd time applying. I was not part of the lottery selection during my first round due to not being able to take the TEAS for the Fall 2021 cohort due to personal reasons.
They did keep my application on file from the Fall 2022 application period. I am hoping that I finally get in for the Spring 2023 cohort. I also noticed that for the Spring 2023 application period they only had it open from July 15 to August 1st.
Good luck to anyone else that applied or is re-applying!

No, I think they said they were behind and you should hear if you met the cut scores by the 24th of this month. My application was kept from the previous cycle so I am just waiting on the lottery results. This is nerve wrecking. I did not get at Long Beach City, and Pasadena City. I am hoping I get in on this round.
Hello Everyone!
Someone once told me it will take 3 to 4 years to get into nursing school and they were correct! It took me 3 years! I was one of the lucky ones to get selected for the GCC Winter/Spring 2023 program.
I've been there,-we all been there- you know your checking AllNurses and your email numerous times seeing if there's a chance of a letter from the nursing department only to find out you didn't get one (or were rejected) and witness multiple lucky peoples announcing their joyous acceptances.
It sucks. Your happy for them. But it still sucks. Feels no bueno.
You will get your chance in the sun! I say that with so much passion its scary. I wish you so much luck in your nursing school applications, or if you change you mind, your future endeavors!
Mucho, mucho suerte!
Hi Deana! Out of curiosity when you applied to schools outside of LACCD, like CoC, Glendale etc. did you have to first transfer your credits to the school and get it evaluated ? Or did you apply straight to nursing only after getting accepted into the school? Every school has strict requirements on how they want to receive transcripts. and I’m not even sure if I should talk to every single counselors.
