What do you all think of this? There are several things about his tirade which rub me the wrong way but I really want to hear what you all have to say.

The guy's an entitled idiot. Just like many of our patients all these years later.

Fentanyl is an end-of-life drug. I did not know that. I will have to write that one down.

I don't believe for an instant that an anesthesiologist divulged anything to him about what happened in the OR - and he would definitely not say that it was the worst case he had ever seen. That would set everyone, including himself, up for a major lawsuit.

Post-op urinary retention. That was probably just part of the fatal condition that caused him to be given fentanyl.

I doubt that any anesthetist would give him a general anesthetic for a butt so he probably had a spinal with sedation and someone underestimated what large quantities he needed.  Glenn Beck is a moronic dirtbag so I would have treated him like the PIA he is.  A nice epidural with a catheter so he could get admitted overnight for pain management via catheter and let him go home the next day with an iced butt plug (no seriously, if you can ice them that would give awesome relief).  Just keep bobbing my head, smiling and agreeing with everything he says.  That way everyone has a more pleasant experience.
