Hi everyone, and congratulations on your success in the Nursing Program. I have a quick question about admissions to the Nursing Program.... Do you have to have all 3 (API, APII, and Micro) completed before applying to the program?

Any and all information is greatly appreciated.

mgeiger,

It is generally required that you have all three biologies before you can start.

I am presently taking APII and will take Micro in the summer, but I already applied for the Fall Program as "technically" I will have all 3 completed before Fall semester... but I am wondering if that will disqualify me as a candidate as I will not have them completed when the decisions are made.

Anyone's Thoughts?

I was not accepted the first time I applied because I had not taken micro. I applied again while I was taking micro and got accepted. Email the nursing secretary.

Helpful hint: When you're taking micro, really learn the stuff, not just enough to pass the tests and get by. You will use that stuff a LOT in the nursing program. : )

I don't think not having micro will hurt your chances of getting in for the fall. I know there are at least 2 people who are in the second semester the program now who are taking micro over the summer. I suppose it all depends on the grades you have in your other classes and the number of people applying. It never hurts to apply and see what happens.
