Although, It says for students Everyone is welcome.
A few years ago I lost a significant amount of weight and increased my health by walking/running. I was involved with a support thread on another board. We shared our stats each week, our ups, and our downs. It was so helpful for me to be accountable for my actiions and numbers. Well, I was doing good, but had a surprise pregnancy now he is 2, and I am back where I was and then some.
With the unique considerations that come from fitting excercise and a healthy diet in during NS/and pre- reqs, I thought it might be nice to be able to share and support each other because we know better than anyone else the stress of time management and pressure of keeping our grades up.
I know that NS can be strenuous physically and I want to get in shape or at least a head start for this fall
Would anyone else like to join me?
Here are this week's stats. I'd love to add the rest of you. Just send me a pm.

I did some research and made a list of our "group" members from those who have posted since the beginning of May. I put your stats by your name if I have them. if not you can PM me your losses and goals and I will add them. Those with MIA by their name have not posted in a couple of weeks.

i just want to say i love you guys. really, as much as i can love people i've never met, i really do. you understand what type of craptacular stress this whole ns stuff is, plus being fluffy. i had like 3 brownies and a huge cupcake today. i'll weigh in tomorrow and see what the damage is. sorry i feel off the wagon.:redpinkhe
Hey there - No stats as my scale is broken :)
I will tell you that my goals are to lose 30 lbs before I start NS (9/24/08). My exercise goal is to start with the minimum - 3 days/week with a minimum of 30 minutes each time.
So as of today I'm
0 of 30 lbs.
0 of 90 minutes
I anticipate being the same until mid June because I'm trying to finish up my EMT class and also totally stressing with work. But it shall be done, oh yes! It shall be done!
I think I had an emotional binge eat last night. :no:I ate pork stir fry with a crap load of rice.:imbar A major problem I have is eating before I go to sleep. I work kind of late and don't get a chance to eat until late at night. Gotta stop that it really sucks.
Everybody back on the train
We can do it:up:

Hey everybody I am new to this thread. I am starting an internship in the ed working 7pm-7:30am June 15. I also started working in Jan at a restaurant that all the food is BAD HIGH CALORIE just...
I use to be 140lbs and now weight 165lbs. I would like to lose 25lbs get back to that weight. I am 5'6. I am not terribly out of shape. I am a jogger/runner. I have gotten back to jogging for 1hr a day after a 3 week break because NS ended in finals and the customary stress that it entails (junior year BSN) Senior NOW!!!
I have been looking through this thread for tips to lose the weight deal with working the night shift and being tired all the time right now and not doing night shift. Also if anyone has any tips for being in the ed please feel free to bestow your knowledge on me.
