Gerontology summer 2013

Anyone taking Gerontology summer semester? Any insight what I should expect? I just took Global Health and spent 25 hrs a week on a 3 credit hour course. Hoping for a whole lot less work.

My section is still not up yet! OU IT says some sections are not released by the professor. This is MONDAY!

To those of you who have got access to the class, could you kindly post what chapters to read and at least what DB assignment is? I really appreciate it. I am thinking at least I can get it started while waiting for the professor to release my section, so my valuable time won't be wasted. Thanks much!

Read Chapters 1&2 in the text book.

There are 2 journal articles to read, and one single page QAPI thing. Write a 5 page paper about QAPI and gerontological nursing.

DBs seem pretty easy week 1. Introduce yourself post for one, and write about what gerontological nurse means to you, why so few students go into gerontological nursing, and what can be done to get more students to go into it for the other. Minimum 2 in-text citations and references.

My section went up around 11ish or so last night.

To ScottE and anyone who has the class up in BB, I hope this is not too much to ask. Could you kindly copy and paste the week 1 assignments here so we know exactly what they are asking for? OU is saying my section won't be up till tonight or tomorrow. This is ridiculous!! Thank you guys for your help.
