Nurse and a Person is a poem about a older patient that is going through the stages of Alzheimers. He knows he is losing his memory and wants people to "see" him and he feels helpless and the Nurse talks about "seeing" the patient. she supports his independence and is his friend and his light.

I am STRUGGLING with these interview papers. I have interviewed a fairly healthy patient and I am not sure how to make this into a "paper" or even tie it to a poem about alzheimers when my patient doesn't have dementia AT ALL.

The TA keeps dinging me on small stuff regarding APA format.

I keep getting the comment APA- No title on first page. But I got full credit on week 4's paper. I can't figure out what she is talking about, because I have a running header with title on the first page, then the title on the remaining pages. Any clue? She put that comment the past couple weeks, but I didn't lose any points this past week.

Maybe she means no running head on first page? (your title page)

I find that she is inconsistent with her APA pickiness. : )

The running head continues on all pages of the paper. The full title is only used on the title and first page of the body of the paper. There used to be a sample APA paper on the OWL - go find it and print it out. I did that when I started classes and have referred to it multiple times of the last 18 months.

Did you center the title of the paper on the 1st page of tbe body of the paper? Look at the OWL link that I posted. There is a complete sample paper there - print it out and take a good look at it. If you do your papers as per those instructions and a TA marks you off for it - refer him/her to the sample paper.

Yeah, it's exact. My problem is she DIDN'T mark me off, lol. So I don't understand why she posted that on more than one assignment. Obviously it doesn't matter since class is over this next week, I'm just confused.

That is when you write them back and ask WTH! Hopefully your next TA won't be such a ditz!
