Other than the TA issue, do you have any pointers?

cincinnursemary I am sure it would of been an enjoyable class but the TA ruined it for me. Constantly nitpicking and making APA dings that were right. She truly ruined me enjoying the class. I had to fight constantly about points that were taken off that were right. I got the points back but ruined me enjoying the class. You have to do a paper of Tuesdays with Morrie, 3 papers on an interview with an older adult and a final paper worth 50 points on the interview with 2 care plans. I got an "A" but really was disappointed in the TA I had. They can make or break the class.

I had the "good TA" and I loved the class and the experience. The last project is pretty big but it seems much worst on paper. I found it helpful to use the prior weeks writing it. I pray you have a great experience :-)

BellkRN I am glad you had a good TA. Most of my whole section was not happy and found numerous errors on the grading. I hope cicinnursemary has a better TA! It seems a lot of students complain about the inconsistency in grading. I just want a good TA sent my way!

I also just finished this class and also had a bad experience with a TA. She took off points for not bolding my headings, or saying that my references were not peer reviewed when they were, but she did not take off points when I noticed in one paper I had one sentence that went on for a whole paragraph because I forgot to put a period. She didn't even notice I used a different age for my pt. at least 3 times! It wasn't intentional, but I didn't lose any points for it, just for APA stuff that I never lost points for in the past. She made the class hard to enjoy, it should have been an easy "A", but I had to earn it.

Gerontology, 4560, doesn't start until November 4 and I am in it as well. I just looked at the offerings and it isn't offered starting August 26th.
