Georgia State University - Perimeter ASN Spring 2024

Published

Hello everyone,

I have decided to post this forum to start a community for those who are applying to the ASN program at Perimeter for Spring 2024. I found that the threads for previous semesters were quite useful for information when it came to finding out what type of stats get people accepted there. I took the TEAS 6/12 and applied minutes later. I got an email 10 days later telling me that I have met the requirements to apply and that I would hear back no later than September 30th. I have been working up to this ever since I started school in 2021 and it is a great feeling to be in this process.

Im glad everyone got their emails, I got accepted to another program and will move forward with that, I feel like nobody likes me here because I was more lucky than everyone else, I apologized and nobody said anything acting like it was my fault,  but now that I rejected my acceptance letter I can say that I am not sorry for being more lucky than everyone else on here, bye I will not return to this groupchat ever!

Galb4894 ik you feel better than us. BYE

I'm a little confused because I don't that anyone being upset was directed at you in the first place. Nobody really cared that much.

Craziest post I could've read. No one cared whether she was "more lucky". It was more like they were unprofessional announcing acceptance to one person but not several others but I guess she took it real personal which is odd.

To be honest, I think that is not even a real person , look like someone is just having fun.IDK

I think that could very likely be true. It's quite possible that it's just some sort of person being an online troll. So weird. I also have know idea what she meant when she said "Galb4894 ik you feel better than us.” If it is a real person, then it's obviously just someone young and immature.

But anyways, I would like to refocus the attention on a more positive tone. The reason why I opened this thread was to harbor a community for all of us applying to the program, whether accepted or rejected and to keep in mind that we are all here for one common goal.

Yes I agree with you!

Hello everyone! I've created a facebook group. Here is the link  https://m.facebook.com/groups/696634308662862/?ref=share&mibextid=S66gvF

I think that might be helpful if we have questions and just to share our updates .

Hello, thanks. Actually I do. For the physical part and the TB test, can we go ahead and do it now, or do we wait until the last month to do those?

I'd start getting stuff done as soon as you can, especially the physical. For the TB skin test, you might have to get 2 depending on your clinical site, but also, with others, if it's done within the last 60/90 days, you might be OK. If you do the Quantiferon, just go ahead and get it done as soon as possible. It's a longer turn around for results, but you only need 1.

Thank you so much! You've been a big help.

The checklist which was sent in the acceptance email specifically says to get a TB TST test (skin test) and not quantiferon (blood test).
