I mailed my Fall 2011 GSU nursing application on Jan. 22. The application deadline is March 1st. As we wait, I invite all applicants, traditional or ACE, to post their program gpa and TEAS version V scores and keep others abreast when they receive an applicaton response. Here are mine:
Program GPA: 3.63
TEAS V: 86.0 (Date 1/15/2011)
Percentile Rank - National: 97
Percentile Rank - Program: 94
As we wait,....
I agree jen171; the anxiety is making me a little annoyed but i'm trying really hard to keep positive. From what I know, there are acceptance letters received in April so hopefully that includes us.
I looked at actual and remaining seats available for the courses that new nursing students take entering this fall and it still shows roughly 30 seats available for most of the courses. Assuming those who were accepted are the 'actual' registered students, I'm reading 'remaining' as an indicator of more acceptance letters to come.
For those who were accepted, have you been able to register for fall courses?
Yes, I was able to register this past week. I agree that looking at the "remaining" should be a fairly decent ballpark of available seats, ggallo. If that is correct, then they are only about half way through and letters are still forthcoming.
I'm so ready for everyone else here to get acceptance letters...and I sure hope it happens in the next few days. Thinking of you guys with crossed fingers!!
I was also able to register this past Friday. Once you turn in your letter of acceptance to confirm joining the program, they add the PINS review on ULearn. You have to pass the quiz with a 100% before you can register.
I know that they have an updated count of spots left in the programs in Angela Corleys office in the nursing offices. There were still a few spots left when I went in Monday, so hopefully you will all find out soon. :)
Good luck to all of you still waiting!!
I agree with KatyGSU. I think they were probably waiting until the 31st to see if anybody else would turn in their letters. I'm sure there's another round going out. Why else would they want people to rush and make a decision by the 31st if they didn't have to send out more acceptance letters? I'm still rooting for you all! Be sure to keep faith. =)
Hi Ggallo,
Sorry i haven't posted bcause i haven't been on this website for a while. Also I forgot my username & password so i had to create one under another name...lol. Previously "lao mumbo jumbo". I have been accepted to the Ace Program for the Fall!:w00t:I got my letter on the 25th of March n they wanted us to reply by the 31st....I'm so excited to meet all of my classmates for Fall 2011. Well I wish you good luck as well as all the others who are still waiting.
I have been accepted to Mercer and Emory as well. I didn't respond to Mercer and I lost my spot (it would cost me too much to go there). I am still waiting on Emory's fin aid pckg which will ultimately determine which program I going to go with. I know several ppl who have been able to enter their Nursing Program w/no or very little cost due to their generous funding in tuition grants, etc. If I am lucky enough, that will be me and another spot will be open at GSU. For now, I plan to go to GA State. Really excited & nervous at the same time. Again, I will keep my fingers crossed for all of you who have not heard anything yet;)
Forgot, to CONGRATULATE all of you who got accepted too!
Those who haven't heard, hang in there!!! I'm sure they'll be sending more letters out! I got mine at the very end of March and I have a 4.0, that means there's no rhyme or reason to this whole crazy process!!! I hope we all get to become classmates:rolleyes:
