Hi! I'm applying to Georgia State University's ACE Track for Spring 2016. Anyone else out there also applying? :)
@Berniex312 How long after sending the application did you recieve a confirmation email? I haven't gotten one yet that says they recieved my application and we'll know by mid-November, and I sent my application on the 18th. I did get an email right after submitting it though, but that was just a copy of my application.
I took my TEAS test on 9/19 at GSU. I saw on the website that we have to send the scores to GSU ourselves, but when I go to the ATI website to send the scores, GSU isnt listed on the available schools. I called ATI testing and they said GSU should receive my scores if I took the test there and am applying there. Can anyone help me on that? Did GSU get my scores if I took the test at the school?
GSU will automatically get the scores since you took the test at GSU. I never sent my scores to GSU but I did take the TEAS at GSU. I think they pull up your scores based on the date you indicated in the application. I went to see Hugh and he pulled up my scores when I told him the date I took the test. I never sent them in. Hope that helps.
Hello! I submitted my application yesterday for both the ACE and traditional tracks! I'm reallllly hoping for the ACE track but will be happy no matter what if I get in. You guys are making me nervous though with your GPA and teas scores
I currently have a 3.7 program GPA and a 3.8 science GPA, which is good for the ACE track. However, I received an 80 on my teas exam TWICE! I'm just so nervous!!
Also, did any of you get an email yesterday saying that they haven't received your letters of rec.? I got that email but I've also received two separate emails saying that a letter has been submitted for me and have checked with me recommenders to make sure they submitted them. Just wondering.
Hey Hildog! I feel like we are in the same boat...I also got an 80 on my TEAS and have a 3.75 science GPA...not sure what my program GPA is at the moment, but I am meeting with Hugh Grant tomorrow to figure that out as well as to see how good my chances are.. You might want to look into meeting with him as well if you are interested in that.. I am also very nervous because I feel like my stats are in the middle compared to others who have higher GPA's and a higher TEAS score... But keep your head up! I think we might just stand a chance! :)
I also got the letter about not receiving my 2nd letter of recommendation, but it was submitted today so hopefully that's all settled now. I suppose I would call them tomorrow and ask to make sure they have them both?
Both of you guys have really good GPAs! I have a good science GPA and a pretty good TEAS, but my program GPA is not competitive. Not sure which of those weighs the heaviest. I also feel like my letters, essay, and short answers were solid but who knows how they even use those.
@Bernie, tell us how tomorrow goes!!
I also got that email about recommendations and I spoke to Hugh about it. He said he had both of my recommendations on file though, and he wasn't sure why people were getting that email. Basically, if you got 2 seperate emails saying that a recommendation was sent for you, you should be good.
