Hey everybody!
I was just accepted to the Accelerated BSN program at Georgia Southern University! I thought I would start a tread to see if anybody else has applied / been accepted or knows any more information on the program. I am curious how many people are in each accelerated BSN cohort, if all courses are taken with the traditional BSN students, what the NCLEX pass rate is for the ABSN program, and what some reviews people have heard on the program are.
Please let me know if you know any more info than I do!
Thanks!
I believe the Armstrong campus fees are around $570 or so per semester. There is a nursing lab fee of $35 per lab and a HESI testing fee of $45 listed as course fees. Tuition is around $183/credit hour in-state (24 credit hours in the 1st semester). Not sure about uniforms. They also require you to purchase health insurance, if you don’t have suitable coverage. Please let me know if you find out anything different.

Have you signed up for the class yet? I know the spots were beginning to fill. I haven't seen the cost breakdown, I would try calling them if they haven't responded yet since the acceptance is due tomorrow by 4!
Unfortunately I am still in the process of registering and getting a registration time ticket. The nursing department has advised me it is filling up quickly so I am trying to sort this out as quickly as possible! I am planning to call them tomorrow if they haven't responded ?

This is helpful, thank you! Some schools charge a flat rate for 15+ hours, do you know if this is the case?
Hey everybody!
So I called to ask about the tuition and from what they told me it is the same rates as the undergraduate rates. I think it goes by credit hour but then it is capped at 15 credit hours a semester so anything above that has a flat rate I believe. So for the fall and spring it’s that flat rate and then for the summer I think it’s like only 12 credit hours or something so it’s less for the summer semester.
hope that helps!!
For the GA and US history and constitution has anybody taken the exemption exams for those or know how hard they are / if it’s pretty doable to pass them? I need to take those and also going to be taking pathophysiology online over the spring. They said you can take it online as long as they approve the syllabus.

Thank you! Yes, I did my undergrad at southern (statesboro campus) and they were really on us about having it done in order to graduate. So I have already taken it. But during the interview they told me the most common thing people still need before the program is the GA history requirements.
If you have access to mygeorgiasouthern, the Fall 2020 courses can be found via the Course Search function, including the ABSN classes (last ones if you use NURS as the subject to search). Labs/clinicals still unknown, though.
