Georgia Perimeter Fall 2015

Published

Hello All,

I currently attend GPC Decatur campus, just finished A and P 1 spring 2014 and now making preparations to take the TEAS V and submit my application for the Fall 2015 nursing program. I plan to take A and P 2 Fall 2014 and Micro in Spring 2015. Just wanted to start a thread for students planning to apply for NS Fall 2015. I have been stalking the earlier threads, and they were very helpful and informative. Look forward to meeting some future classmates! :)

Hello, does gpc have a waiting list? And is there program very competitive?

When I went to the seminar they said there is no waiting list! If you dont get in, you have to reapply and start all over for the next time. As far as competitiveness, VERY! They allow 140-160 students and have 400-600 applicants. Hope this helps :)

Hello, does gpc have a waiting list? And is there program very competitive?

I see CSU as ur profile pic, do u attend there now? Ill be applying there once I take my TEAS.

Oh wow, that's very competitive! My first semester at csu will be this fall 2k14. I I wanted to do the adn but I'm just gonna go right back into school for my bsn so I'm just gonna go ahead and do it. They have a great program and can be done in about 3 years if you take pre-reqs during the summer.

Yeah im knocking the prereqs for both GA Perimeter and CSU now, so that I can apply to both programs at once!

That sounds great! Good luck:)

R u in the program already? I work at an area hospital and have met a lot of the CSU instructors....they seem really nice

No I'm a pre-nursing student. I'm still taking pre-reqs. But I'm excited about finishing up so that I can apply! I'm looking for a local hospital to work at to get my patience skills up. I have been a cna and phlebotomist for the past year in another state. I just recently moved to Georgia.

Hello - would anyone happen to know if GPC requires a wait period before retaking the TEAS? From what I'm reading here, some schools require 30/45 days wait from the time you took it, to the next time you take it. I took it last week and didn't score too well. I'm thinking of retaking it so i can better my chances of getting in in 2015. Any help will be appreciated.

Hi, my family and I just moved to Georgia and I am looking to attend an ASN program. I was thinking about GPC but have read some not so good things about it on past threads. Since you are a current student I was hoping you could give tell me what you think about the school and your experience so far. Are the teachers as bad as they say? Has their grad rate and NCLEX pass rate improved?

I'm currently in the nursing program at GPC. They tell you that you have two tries to take the TEAS but If you didn't score below a 65, I would not take the exam over. When determining who enters the program, the number of times you take the teas is taken into consideration, and anybody that scored the "passing" score on the first try would automatically be placed ahead of you. If you have a strong GPA and at least a 65, then you should be fine.
