I have an overall GPA of 2.25, my program GPA is a 3.15...i got a D in my human anatomy lecture but re-took it with an A. I have yet to take the teas. However the requirements at GPC are....min. 2.0 overall GPA, 2.7 in program GPA 2.7 in biology. However i was previously studying in business administrations so i have around 5 W'S and have failed only one class. What are my chances of getting accepted? Has anyone gotten accepted with similar scores/ similar circumstances?

So once again, overall GPA: 2.25 (2.3 with this upcoming A)

Program GPA: 3.15 (with only one re-taken course )

Bio GPA:3.5 (I'm also not sure if the previous D in A&P will be included in the calculations...)

requirements:

Overall GPA: min. 2.0

Program GPA 2.7

Bio GPA:2.7

Good luck macongirl! I think you will get in, you have an awesome GPA. Let us know how everything goes :)

Hi guys,

Thanks for yours all kind concerns on my case. Yes, i am applying to Gordon, Darton, and West technical College. I am Gordon student and just finished Critical thinking test and waiting for score from ATI. Darton requires me to take TEAS test at thier institution. I have to grasp this opportunity. Congratualtion to all your guys, who are accepted to nursing program. You are deserved for that

You'll do great!

Anyone live in the Smyrna area?

Anyone live in the Smyrna area?

I don't anymore. I used to live off Concord Rd in Smyrna, but since moved down to Stockbridge to live with and take care of my great-grandmother. Where our house is is actually closer to the Decatur campus, than Clarkston where I attend.

Question for y'all: I have to take Microbiology in the summer and am considering taking a female professor who teaches on the Decatur campus. We're not allowed to say names on here, but several of my classmates have said she is the best and to stay away from the ones on Clarkston campus, that they are notoriously difficult. Do any of you have any suggestions or experiences you can share?

Congratulations whoadee! I am also accepting my spot at gpc :) I am so proud of all of us and I can't wait to meet you all!

Thank you, aelmo!! Congrats to you as well! As much as we were beating ourselves up about it, it's really nice to finally be able to breath, ya know? Let's enjoy this brief couple of months we have until lockdown begins, lol!

I didn't take any of my sciences with perimeter so I'm not sure how the teachers are. I always go to ratemyprofessor.com and read other students reviews on teachers, it has helped me a lot in the past so it's something you could look at!

Also, is there any current nursing students with gpc that could give us an idea of what the schedule is like? I'm trying to figure out if I will be able to work part time or not.

Hi.

First semester is a busy one. Very. You will have skills lab, clinicals, and lectures. They key to being successful is flexibility. So if you plan to work, keep in mind that the school schedules you for some stuff at the last minute and you have to go. And being able to get to the skills lab to practice is also key.

I worked. But I did not start mid oct, after I felt I had my nursing school legs under me.

Good luck.

Oh. And I agree. Better micro opts at dct campus. That's where I took it.

I also used rate my professor.com

It has worked for me every time.

What was the earliest/latest you had to be there? It's a 40 min drive for me, no traffic, and I think I'll be needing some evening child care help.
