Georgia Highlands College Waiting Game!

U.S.A. Georgia

Published

Hopefully, we are getting close to hearing something. I wanted to start a new thread and see if anyone wanted to play the waiting game for fall ADN Program. We've been waiting since April 1st and it's about time we heard something.:anbd:

hobo or stardan, I printed the booklist off of the GHC bookstore site but it didn't have the ISBN # listed. Did you guys have it when you ordered your books? I saw the edition & authors listed but some of years didn't match, so I was wanting to make sure...Any advice?

I had two screens open on my computer. On one tab, I googled the book/author name and took note of the picture of the book. Then, on the other screen I had amazon pulled up. I double checked to make sure that the pictures looked the same. This was a little time consuming but I wanted to make sure that I was ordering the correct book. Hope this helps!

dallas, have you received your letters of recommendation yet?

I've gotten 1 letter and my transcript and I am just waiting on the other letter....I wish that the letter would hurry up. Did you turn your app in person or by mail?

If you call the GHC Rome campus bookstore, depending on what personality answers when you call, you can ask them for the ISBN number. I've never had anybody tell me no. I have had them act impatient, but eventually they cave in and just do it. :smiley_ab

They don't publish the ISBN numbers on the book lists, because they try to discourage people from purchasing the textbooks anywhere but the school campus. I wasn't planning on going to the campus bookstore until the week that we purchase textbooks with our financial aid, but I live in Rome so if you are just not sure that you have one of the right books picked out online, I will try to swing by there and get the ISBN number for you.

I went to the post office and turned it in.

I purchased a lot of the books from the bookstore already. So I can help with the ISBN number also. Just let me know which ones you need. There's still about 5 books I have to get, but the rest I I can help you with.

Thanks tns, do you have med-surg, pharmacology, &fund of nursing???

Does anyone know what score GHC gives applicants with a previous bachelors degree for the SAT section if you want to use your degree? Is it 20% of 1000 or 20% of 1100. Is it more competitive for the Spring semester to be accepted than it is for the Fall? What is the minimum score that is considered competitive for Fall and Spring? Thanks so much.

thankyou, thankyou, thankyou.........;)

GA Mommy, I was told to give myself 1100 points for the bachelors and then take 20% of that.

I honestly am not sure what my score was total. It started out at 1220, but then they changed the grading scale and I think it went down 100 points, but I also took the Chemisty class in place of the nutrition and computer class and in the end, I just had not clue how they were planning on counting the scores, but I think it was around 1100 and I got in.
