Hopefully, we are getting close to hearing something. I wanted to start a new thread and see if anyone wanted to play the waiting game for fall ADN Program. We've been waiting since April 1st and it's about time we heard something.:anbd:

I got my letter today! Does anyone know what the deal is with the Wellstar program?

All I know is that they pay for your tuition, books and uniforms. If anyone knows more about the Wellstar program, please let us know. I am curious to know about the interview process (questions they ask and so forth) and if we have to write an essay.

Congrats cheergirl33!!!!!

Cheergirl....I believe the Wellstar Program information that was in there with your letter is referring to the Marietta campus. Those 25 Marietta campus students have everything paid for by Wellstar and in turn they sign an agreement to work for Wellstar after graduation (for I believe 2 or 3 years).

The Walgreens here in Rome will do the passport size photos for $7.99.

We have LOTS to do before school. Thank GOD I already the hepatitis series and tetorifice!!! Yesterday, I got a TB shot. It's my bday next week so I was due for it anyways. Today, I am getting my pic done at CVS. I will also be waiving the insurance and getting the background check. Tomorrow, thank goodness the nursing home is a having CPR class so I can check that off. So MUCH to do!!

What does everyone have left to do? Just make sure if you need the hepatitis series to get that done immediately.

I have had the first two Hep B shots, and I'm scheduled for the 3rd one in September. I'm going to get my passport photo today at Walgreens, and I went online this morning and paid for my background check. I am online right now getting the insurance waiver. I will also have to get another TB test sometime this week. (i already had one, but it wasn't stacked like the nursing department wants.) I am also going to go look around at Saavy Scrubs on my lunch break.

YAY!!!! The excitement has not worn off yet.

I'm going by the health dept to get records of my shots and then I'm heading to walgreens for passport photo and then off to mail my acceptance to highlands. I'm still sooooo excited! CPR I haven't decided when to do. Background check on friday and scrubs maybe next week. Insurance waiver I did yesterday. :nurse:

Okay...I am confused. What is a "stacked" TB?

You have to get a tb shot, and then a read, then a shot, then a read. :)

But, it does state that if you have proof of a PPD skin test this year and one in the previous year that this is acceptable.

I know it does sound weird. I think it done to make sure there wasn't any error the first time.....Not really sure though.....You prob have them if you already work at the hospital.
