Georgia Highlands College Waiting Game!

Hopefully, we are getting close to hearing something. I wanted to start a new thread and see if anyone wanted to play the waiting game for fall ADN Program. We've been waiting since April 1st and it's about time we heard something.:anbd:

Too funny! I know the feeling. I am frustrated at how long this is taking. They need to hurry up already. They need to get more office help or something......That's it, I'm going to call up there and tell them I will help make out the envelopes....:D

I am so ready too!! I had a dream about it last night. This is really starting to get aggravating. What are you all doing about loans and financial aid? Have you applied for any?

I filled out a FASA application. I get the hope scholarship and the pell grant. I was also offered the federal unsubsidized stafford loan, but haven't accepted yet. I've heard that if you are accepted into a nursing program, you can be offered a loan that is forgiven if you agree to work in GA for one yr for each yr you receive aid. It has something to do w/ nursing being a profession thats in a critical shortage.

I have Hope Scholarship and a little bit of Federal Pell Grant. They have offered me the subsidized Stafford Loan, but I am waiting on that letter before I accept it.

Ok, I'll admit it.... I emailed Mrs. Frazier this morning and asked her if the letters would be mailed out this week. :sofahider

I haven't heard back from her though.

O.k. I just almost fell out of my chair laughing w/that icon and what you said. I was asking b/c my mom happened upon someone today that said their daughter had been contacted by highlands today. I really can't say anymore b/c I promised that I wouldn't.
