Georgia Highlands College Fall 2011

Hello everyone. I just applied for admissions for the fall 2011 program a couple weeks ago.

Has anyone esle applied as well? If so what is your GPA and ACT score if you don't mind me asking.

My gpa is a 3.0, or higher because I have grades that have not posted, and I took the ACT over 13 years ago with a score of 18.

The application deadline was April 1st... so everything completed before that date of course, is considered and calculated.... AND if you are taking courses in Spring for the nursing program, they will include those grades also...... We should get our letters around June 10th... Good luck!

Just wanted to say good luck to you all. I graduated last year, and I still have my acceptance letter on my fridge because I was a very happy lady that day. Hope all of you have the same luck. :)

Hi everyone,

I am new to this site. I am a pre nursing student also on the waiting journey for the fall 2011 class. I wish everyone luck in getting in and hope to meet in class one day.

Fawn, Congrats on your acceptance and much success in reaching the 3rd semester. I would love to hear how it is going. Any suggestions and tip would be much appreciated. It is alway good to know someone that has gone through it.

I don't know if it is to soon to stock the mailman but I sure have. :lol2:

Hello everyone!

I also applied for Fall 2011. Im transferring from KSU. I called the nursing dept today and they said letters should be sent out by the end of next week.

last year the letters were sent around june 10 tho. Has anyone checked the SCORE system? I went in SCORE under student information and it said ASN program, marietta campus. I was just wondering/ hoping this meant something. I hope everyone gets in! We should know something soon :)

eKat, I don't know that the SCORE info necessarily means anything. I was accepted last year (got my packet on June 12, FYI) and I remember stalking SCORE trying to glean some knowledge. I was also a transfer student. Mine also said ASN program but Floyd campus, and I'm attending Marietta.

I hope for your sake it is right! :) Getting ready to start my third semester (with Fawn911) and the program is awesome! Good luck to all of you!

Hi, I am not allowed to send private messages yet. I am not sure what book I need yet but I will keep that in mind. I already have the medical term and clinical calculations as well as the Test for success books. I will however, let my friend know if she is looking. Thanks for the information.

I am waiting to get accepted as well. Are the lectures from power points does anyone know?

Yes the lectures are powerpoints. The instructors add information in class to emphasize & expand on the information provided in the pp. There are also online lectures, and this material is pp only, some will have speaker notes.

How many days a week do you have classes on campus during first semester? Also how often are check offs?
