Asking for opinions and chances about getting in BSN program
Updated: Published
Hello!
I took my TEAS and I scored 69.3 and my GPA is 3.64. I’m applying for the BSN programs at GGC and GSU. Does anybody think I have a chance of getting in for any of these programs?? I believe my TEAS score isn’t competitive enough since the English portion was a bit tough for me since English isn’t my mother language, but looking at my GPA and some volunteering hours..
Please share opinions and experiences, thanks in advance!

The deadline was couple months ago. Don’t remember exactly, I think it was July. You need to be accepted to GSU downtown first before you are able to apply for nursing program. Even I graduated from Perimeter college GSU,I had to transfer to downtown to apply for nursing program. So you need to talk to advisor or called to nursing department of GSU downtown to ask about your case; the phone number is located in the main page of nursing program page, all the way on the bottom( last digits 1000). Anyway, do you have student ID number?

I have already applied to KSU & GGC so at least I have that done. Good luck you guys!!
Did you apply for GGC with 80,7 TEAS? I got one friend who got accepted directly (no TEAS, no application needed)to nursing program because she was student of health science major at GGC. I was so confused and I have no idea how that works. I also apply to GGC but with lower TEAS score so I’m very stressed out
Yeah I did, I applied with only one attempt on the TEAS (80.7). I'm taking it again in a few weeks which will (hopefully) give me a better chance for my KSU application. I just need to do better at reading and language usage!
I wouldn't consider your TEAS score to be low, I would try to relax and just remember that there will be other opportunities to apply in the future. If you don't get accepted into a school, you can work during that semester gap and gather more community service hours + possibly a higher TEAS score.

That’s great. Can I ask what are your stats?

Yeah, I was told by admissions that it usually takes 15-21 business days but that seemed like a stretch to me. I submitted everything by the tenth so hopefully I hear something within the next few days to give my professor enough time to do a letter ? Were you notified by email? I keep refreshing the status checker

I meant the application to be accepted as a transfer student for GSU, not the nursing application. I might not have enough time so we'll see what happens!
