Georgia Baptist College of Nursing/ Mercer University Fall 2019

Published

Hey!

I wanted to start a thread for those applying to Mercer's nursing program starting fall 2019. As of now, I know that the application has not been opened but they did say is should open sometime this month. I am on my last semester of prerequisites, which consists of microbiology and the lab and philosophy. I had my transcript evaluated last semester and was told my transfer GPA is a 3.349 and my science GPA is a 3.000. I highly recommend you guys get your transcript evaluated, especially those transferring! I have 2 years experience as a CNA in home care and 1 in the hospital setting along with some hospital volunteer hours. Share your stats, advice and questions. Good luck to everyone!

I was accepted a couple weeks ago, and I’m super excited ! I applied back in November and heard back January 18th

Teas: 89

gpa: 3.52

I also have been a CNA for a year so I’m sure they took that into consideration.

Congratssss ! I got a 85 on my TEAS so hopefully that helps.

I have to do an interview. Does anyone else?

When will your interview be?

I called them. They said to brush up on A&P and they keep it casual. And to treat it like a job interview. I have looked up some interview questions just to help. What are your stats?

Did you have an interview already ?

Has anyone who has been invited to an interview done theirs yet?

Hey guys!! I turned in my application around The beginning of January and got accepted in February!! I’m pretty excited, and I wanted to know if anyone who currently goes to Mercer could tell me about their experiences so far in the nursing program.

What were your stats?

Hey!

Overall GPA: 3.7

Science GPA: 3.4

TEAS score: 78.9

Volunteer hours: 100+

I went to one of Mercer’s BSN sessions and the advisors said that the essay weighs a lot in your application. It is actually what can make or break your application.

Hey guys! So I got an invitation to an interview today. I’m so nervous ! Ugh

They told me half the people that applied are having to interview and next year everyone will have to.

geez. I don’t know whether that’s a good thing or not.

Has anyone been accepted recently? I did my interview 4weeks ago and they said we’ll hear from them in 3weeks and I’m yet to get a decision from them. Does anyone have the same experience? Did you get any decision yet?

I haven’t heard anything back from them either. I did the interview 4 weeks ago as well.
