Georgia Baptist College of Nursing/ Mercer University Fall 2019

Published

Hey!

I wanted to start a thread for those applying to Mercer's nursing program starting fall 2019. As of now, I know that the application has not been opened but they did say is should open sometime this month. I am on my last semester of prerequisites, which consists of microbiology and the lab and philosophy. I had my transcript evaluated last semester and was told my transfer GPA is a 3.349 and my science GPA is a 3.000. I highly recommend you guys get your transcript evaluated, especially those transferring! I have 2 years experience as a CNA in home care and 1 in the hospital setting along with some hospital volunteer hours. Share your stats, advice and questions. Good luck to everyone!

Congratulations!!! I am waiting for my final transcript. Did you receive an email or letter? What were your stats?

I see your stats. They are great.

They started reviewing my application. How long should it take from January 10th?

I was accepted a couple weeks ago, and I’m super excited ! I applied back in November and heard back January 18th

Teas: 89

gpa: 3.52

I also have been a CNA for a year so I’m sure they took that into consideration.

I have to do an interview. Does anyone else?

Hey guys! I got my acceptance right before Christmas. I had also met with the counselor about two times before.

My stats:

3.42 GPA
87 TEAS score
and I have a lot of volunteer experience- abroad and at CHOA!
:)

Jennifer1986, I also got an invitation to interview.. I am extremely nervous. What are you doing to prepare? Anyone have any tips for preparing for the interview?

I called them. They said to brush up on A&P and they keep it casual. And to treat it like a job interview. I have looked up some interview questions just to help. What are your stats?

Hey everyone!

I am applying to GBCN as well! I will be a transfer student from the University of North Georgia.

GPA: 3.2

I have registered to take the TEAS on March 22nd & planning on applying submitting my application & everything that same day! I made an 87 on the HESI, so I am hoping the TEAS is very similar.

I also have my CNA license with experience in a nursing home & currently working at CHOA.

This probably doesn't matter as much as clinical, bedside experience, but I have many years of experience as a patient due to having a chronic illness. I was thinking that having both bedside and patient experience could help in my essay!

I have a little volunteer experience with my city's special olympics. So, I am hoping with my experience and hopefully a good TEAS score I will be set!

Hey guys! New to this site and thread :) I applied a few days ago and I'm anxiously awaiting a decision! Has anyone been accepted recently? If so, how long did it take?

Good luck on your TEAS Tomorrow! I heard the TEAS is much harder than the HESI though.
