Hey!
I wanted to start a thread for those applying to Mercer's nursing program starting fall 2019. As of now, I know that the application has not been opened but they did say is should open sometime this month. I am on my last semester of prerequisites, which consists of microbiology and the lab and philosophy. I had my transcript evaluated last semester and was told my transfer GPA is a 3.349 and my science GPA is a 3.000. I highly recommend you guys get your transcript evaluated, especially those transferring! I have 2 years experience as a CNA in home care and 1 in the hospital setting along with some hospital volunteer hours. Share your stats, advice and questions. Good luck to everyone!

Hello! How do get your transcript evaluated? I sent them some screenshots of my unofficial transcripts to their email, nursingadmissions @ mercer.edu
Hi _dardbi_06! I would email [email protected] to ask to set up an appointment. They should also be having a Transcript Day (if they haven't already) where you can schedule an appointment to meet with Jordan or Lynsey to review your transcript. Similar to jbail113, I met with the admissions counselors several times while I was applying to GBCN (I'm almost at the end of my first semester there now) and it was immensely helpful! Plus it gives them a chance to get to know YOU and your story and why you want to become an amazing nurse!
The admissions office told me the first decisions are released before Christmas by email for those who have completed their applications. My understanding is that conditional acceptance is given to applicants who have not completed all of the prerequisites. My application was complete in late October, and I haven't received a decision yet. Has anyone else heard?

I am devastated. I took my teas back in July at almost 9 months pregnant and made a 70. Retook it last weekend, while I had the flu, and made a 73. I worked so hard and have a 3.7 GPA all for one test to determine if I get into nursing school. I just cant believe it.
