Hey!
I wanted to start a thread for those applying to Mercer's nursing program starting fall 2019. As of now, I know that the application has not been opened but they did say is should open sometime this month. I am on my last semester of prerequisites, which consists of microbiology and the lab and philosophy. I had my transcript evaluated last semester and was told my transfer GPA is a 3.349 and my science GPA is a 3.000. I highly recommend you guys get your transcript evaluated, especially those transferring! I have 2 years experience as a CNA in home care and 1 in the hospital setting along with some hospital volunteer hours. Share your stats, advice and questions. Good luck to everyone!

Just wanted to reach out and say hi to all of you!!! Congratulations to those who have been accepted! Good luck to everyone still waiting! Yes, Mercer does have a Financial Aid counselor who will assist you with all of your financial aid needs!!! You’ll find out more about that at Orientation, I promise!!! Tip: when you meet her at Orientation, set up an appointment to meet with her ASAP so you can get all your questions answered and start working on any money gaps you may need to fill!!! Don’t go into too much shock at the sticker price!
I’m here if you have questions. Just finishing up my first semester so it’s been a bit hectic with when I’m able to get on, but send me a shout-out if you have any other specific questions!!

So first semester we had classes on 3/5 days. Clinicals on 1 day. Second semester we’ve had classes on 2/5 days, med-surg clinical all day on 1 day and mental health clinical on 1/2 day.
Hope this helps.

Not starting your first week though. First major test will be a couple of weeks into the semester. But yes, do expect 1 test a week. They are nice enough not to double up on us. Definitely go to as many new student events before classes start to meet your cohort and some of the upper classmen!

I applied last year and had to retake a class so I just completed the teas and resubmitted my application. For those who got their acceptance letter already what were your stats and what was the wait time between submitting your completed application and your decision letter? Thanks and congrats to you all.
