Georgia baptist college of nursing/Mercer University Fall 2018

Published

Hey! Just wanted to start a forum for anybody applying to this program for fall 2018. I have everything turned in and I'm just waiting for it all to process on the portal. I retook some science course after I dropped out of school for three years but managed to repeat all my classes with an a so my science gpa is looking like a 3.7 but it will be a 2.9 if it is averaged but I am not sure. I have 400 hours of volunteer service. 2 years of CNA experience. 1 year of managent experience ans I got an 85.3 on my teas first try. Feel free to share your stats or your anticipation! If I'm accepted I also would like to know my future colleagues :)

I just got accepted!!!! Can't wait to meet you all in the fall!! For anyone who's wondering my stats are

Overall GPA: 3.7

Science GPA: 4.0 (still have to take APII)

TEAS: 85

If you don't mind me asking when did you apply? Just trying to get an idea of when I will get a decision.

For those accepted, how do we sign up for orientation. Also, I submitted my enrollment fee but it also mentions something about an enrollment form as well but i don't see anything about how to submit this. Is this something different or is it just the enrollment fee we pay on mymercer?

Hey! I am not sure how to sign up for orientation, but if you log into your student self-service portal and click on your decision link, there is a tab at the top right corner of the letter that says "Respond". Click on that and you will see the enrollment form.

Does anyone know when the admissions will stop handing out decisions??

Thank you

I am dying to hear back at this point!!!

Rite there with you. My advisor said he is thinking by June 1st we should hear back

Thank you! That's a little more comforting to look forward too!

Has anyone heard of an application being sent to the "committee" for review?

I haven't heard anything about it unfortunately.

Specializes in ICU, CCU.

I've been accepted, which I'm proud of but conditionally.....bad thing is I won't be able to take the 2 summer courses that were needed before beginning the program. Sigh.....I guess someone else will have my seat. Congratulations to everyone.

I am so sorry to hear that! At least you got this far and I'm sure the timing was like this for a reason. Good luck on your nursing journey!

If you don't mind me asking, when did you apply?
