Georgia baptist college of nursing/Mercer University Fall 2018

Published

Hey! Just wanted to start a forum for anybody applying to this program for fall 2018. I have everything turned in and I'm just waiting for it all to process on the portal. I retook some science course after I dropped out of school for three years but managed to repeat all my classes with an a so my science gpa is looking like a 3.7 but it will be a 2.9 if it is averaged but I am not sure. I have 400 hours of volunteer service. 2 years of CNA experience. 1 year of managent experience ans I got an 85.3 on my teas first try. Feel free to share your stats or your anticipation! If I'm accepted I also would like to know my future colleagues :)

I haven't been able to submit it yet! Is all your modules blue to the top on the score page? I know a couple are suppose to be grey but some of them do not reach the top completely.

Yes. Some of them are not reaching the top. I went back and reviewed the modules, nothing else was there for me to complete. So I submitted what I had. Idk I'm still trying to get access to the Facebook page so I can ask.

Yeah! I still haven't been accepted into the facebook page either! I'm just going to submit it as it is. I can't do anything about it. I'm kinda over it lol

Hey, I currently applied to the 2019 bsn program and I was offered an interview first as well. I wanted to know if I can get some updates on that? I am very nervous..

I also got invited for an interview for fall 2019 class.. what are you doing to prepare? I'm hoping someone will see this and help out with some pointers.

I can't find where anyone else has to do an interview. What was everyone's stats?

Hi! I'm very new to this web sight as in I just found out about the forum that has been set up today so I've created an account because I really want to hear from y'all. I just graduated high school this time last year but I took a lot of dual enrollment and AP classes so I was able to apply for Mercer's nursing this upcoming year. I have everything turned in and I just went to an interview at the college today. I was wondering if anyone else has done the interview process and if so how did you think it went? Also, do you know how long it will take for us to know if we've been accepted?

Hey ! Did you get in? And how long did it take to hear back from them ?

Yea I do ! They said to prepare I should study A&P. Did they ask you A&P questions? If so how deep. I don’t know if I should Teas study or textbook study. I haven’t taken it in like 2 years

They probably changed it now.. ? but yes they did ask my a&p questions and you will be on a time limit. I say get straight to the point with a condensed book and go for the teas.

Hi!

When I interviewed, it took about 2 weeks to hear back about my acceptance. As far as the interview is concerned, they require you to sign a confidentiality statement agreeing to not speak about it. Therefore, I can’t release any details about it. However, I will say that they just want to get to know you more and see that you’re capable of handling the program as it really can be intense.

Hope this helped!

Im currently in the program. i was accepted fall 2018. no i didnt have an interview. not everyone is required to interview. dont let that freak you out. also i know it hard to think about and im fully aware of how difficult this is, but they get flooded with applications around this time, so it can take a while to hear back, pray meditate do whatever you have to do to relax before you plunge into this. tips i have-

-keep all your paperwork in a google drive or other online drive that you can always access

-check your emails all the time. dont be that person who doesnt check your emails and stress that you aren't hearing back lol

-when you get accepted (thats right im putting it out there!) you will get pre-fall semester assignments. for all that is holy complete them b4 the start of fall semester. this is why u need to ck ur stuff as soon as they tell u can start u will want to start.

-good luck!
