Hello Everyone,

I am gearing up to apply for Fall 2009 at Georgia Baptist. I wanted to know if anyone else is applying there for Fall 2009 as well, or if there is anyone who has already been accepted and wouldn't mind sharing their credentials (i.e. overall gpa, nursing gpa, science gpa, if all prerequisities were completed, net score etc.) I am just trying to get a feel for the type of applicant they are looking for. Yes this helps a great deal. I took A&P I, Statistics, Ethics, and Nutrition this semester. I still have A&P II, Micro, and Religion to take this summer. I hope this does not negatively affect my application. Do you think that I should send an unofficial transcript of my Spring 2009 grades until the official one comes to them? I have already asked my school to send it, but we just received our Spring grades today. Thanks so much for the info!

I suppose it wouldn't hurt to send an unofficial transcript, but now that you have Spring grades, it's probably better to just wait since you've already signed a release for your current school. I can imagine how antsy you are though...good luck!

GaMommy81 the fact that you haven't heard something is good. I know for a fact that they are sending letters every week. The good thing is your file is open. I would give them a call and let them know that you will be able to get all those classes in. Let them know how you plan on doing it. Does Clayton have more than one summer session? Is that how you plan on taking those classes? If so, let them know that you are up for the challenge!!

Clayton has two summer sessions, but I am taking the full session. I planned on taking Religion online at GPC, but they said at open house that we can wait and take that course there if we choose to. I may just wait and take it online next semester. If that is the case, I will just be taking A&P II and Microbiology.

I also saw that they extended the deadline to apply from May 15th to June 8th to accommodate the folks taking the NET on June 6th. I wonder how many people have applied. Oh the waiting is torture. I just want to know already.

I know, but since we are getting our spring grades in there. We should hear something in 2 weeks. My grades don't come out until wednesday. I'm pulling my hair!!!

I talked to the admissions counselor at Mercer today and she said that my application is in the processing phase and that they are just waiting for my Spring grades. She also said that if I email her an unofficial transcript that should expedite the process while they wait for an official transcript. I certainly hopes this means that I am in. What do you guys think? Oh goodness! The wait is terrible!

I think you are in. By the way, the lady you talked to is I am guessing Laura Ellison. She is so nice and so helpful. Also, she did sort of the same thing with me. She sent me an email saying i just need to send my official NET scores in and then she can tell me the decision. A week later I was admitted to Mercer

You're in girl!!! I can't wait to meet you in the fall!! When I spoke to my admissions counselor she said she doesn't give anyone false hope. Don't worry about anything. Make sure you study your butt off this summer. When does summer session one start? I think you should take Religion next year during the summer at GPC. That's what I'm going to do. Maybe we can take it together. I'm taking micro and abnormal psyc this summer.

Again don't worry. :specs: I am sure you will get in and we will be sitting in class together!!
