Hey everyone! I thought I would start a new thread for those who have applied to the New Grad Nurse Residency at Georgetown University Hospital for the spring/summer graduates! I graduate in May and this cohort starts July 22nd if I get accpeted! The application opened up on November 16th and I applied right away, really hoping I get it. It sounds like it's a great program. I applied for the NICU, by the way! What units has anyone else applied for so far?
Hi everyone! I know this is an old thread, but I have a couple of questions for those who already went through this application process. :) First, do most accepted applicants have experience as a CNA/tech/nurse intern/extern? I'm worried about never having these experiences, although I was a home health caregiver for awhile.
Also, how many applicants were accepted for the July cohort?
Application period starts in about a week, so any other tips on what they look for in a cover letter/resume are greatly appreciate!!

Hi Maddie! I am in the same position as you, so I am worried that I won't even be given an interview in February. Someone in this thread mentioned that they do not count clinical hours as experience, so that is a bummer. I am hoping that my senior practicum set up for next semester will count as experience, but I am not even sure if that will count. If anyone on this thread who interviewed this past year, please let us know!
Also, cover letter tips would be greatly appreciated!
What is your unit of interest? @MaddieKRN
