Has anyone applied to the George Washington University (GWU) Accelerated/Veteran's BSN program for the Spring 2021 cohort?

Anyone hear anything? I did not unfortunately, was thinking of buying a Winter jacket if I got in haha. Best of luck to you all.

Hiya, I haven't heard anything from them, but I'll keep you updated if I do.

And same! x) Hopefully, we'll hear back from them soon!

Hi all,

I just got a word that the Admission Committee has started reviewing the priority applications and that we should start hearing back from them soon! WOW!, the anticipation is driving me insane....

Oh man, I was so disappointed last week it kind of messed up my week with that anticipation. But thank you for doing that leg work and asking. I was just going to forget and then hopefully an acceptance email one day will show up in my inbox.

Y'all I'm getting so anxious. Does anyone know if we should find out by this Friday? I guess we just have to wait and see.

I'm super impatient with it, I am working on this other school's application, but I want to just not finish if I get into this one. It's hard anticipating your future moves. We shouldn't have read other post because this is 2020 and nothing is normal.

COVID probably slowed them down. It's pretty weird that we don't have the decisions sent out yet. If you review the prior cohorts, they received their offer letter around mid-August for priority applicants. Again, I was told that they are finishing up reviewing the priority applications so I would hope will have it by next week.

What branch? I got out last year, traveled moved to Texas and now headed back home to wait out applications. If I get in I'm not applying anywhere else. I like that it is covered cost wise and that it's near DC. Maybe too early but are you going to live alone or with roomies..... I hope I get in haha.

Air Force. How was Texas? Did you not like it? My boyfriend and I moved out here together (I was super early in moving out here)

Hopefully this doesn't ruin anyone's day but have you guys heard anything yet?

I have not heard squat, I'm thinking priority deadline didn't really mean anything this year. I'll blame covid but man it sucks haha. Hopefully Monday I mean it's the last day of the month. Has anyone heard if they are doing in person courses or is it all online? My benefits get real weird if it's all online.

This is extremely disappointing. I was hoping will have some answers by now but it's already September and we still don't have any word from Admission. I was reading the thread in other schools and noticed that it is a pretty familiar pattern for all ABSN's at least with having delays in sending out their decisions due to COVID. If admitted,  I'm really concerned about the timeline for doing all the pre-requirements: health screenings, financial aid, etc.. And also a place to live for those of us who are moving from out of state.

Has anyone contacted Admission?

I totally feel you about this and yes I have contacted admissions but I have yet to hear back. I definitely understand about COVID circumstances, but I am getting a little frustrated and the anticipation is killing me. I currently live in the DMV area attending GMU, but GW is the only VA school I applied to for the ABSN program. I understand where you’re coming from about moving and the timeline of this. I’ll be sure to comment again if I hear anything from admissions, but I’m kind of glad I’m not the only one (kinda) freaking out.

Hey guys! I heard back from admissions and they said that since I applied for priority we will find out by the end of this week... anddddd the anxiety kicks in! Wooh! Goodluck everyone!

Ah! Do you think that means today or tomorrow? @Lmarg0515

Does GW announce decisions through email or on the portal first?
