Has anyone applied to the George Washington University (GWU) Accelerated/Veteran's BSN program for the Spring 2021 cohort?

I submitted my application in late April. I believe the deadline is in August so we probably won't hear for a while. Do you still have prereqs that you need to fulfill?

Yes, I am currently taking Statistics and Intro to Ethics. They both end on the 28th of this month. Are you all done with yours?

So, I completed my app in April as well but I received a decision letter on Friday which is super early. I'm freaking out a little bit because I don't know if it was a mistake and they're not answering the phones in Admissions.

No not at all! I am re-taking my science courses again because of the 7 year restrictions. I have taken all my science courses back in the late 90s so they made me retake all of it again.

What is your background? Are you currently volunteering or working at a hospital? I'm a Rad Tech/CT Tech by trade so pretty done with the science courses but here we go again.

I actually was accepted at GWU ABSN in Spring 2019 and deferred it. Unfortunately, I had to withdraw for personal reasons which is why I'm reapplying again.

Oh WOW!, the 90s! Definitely longer than 7 years LOL. But anyways my background is medical. I've been a Medical Technician for the past 9.5 years. I recently challenged the boards (NCLEX-PN), so Im also an LPN. I currently work in an Internal Medicine clinic and prior to that I was in the ICU for 3 years.

They keep capitalizing the WOW! and LOL. I promise I wasn't that excited.

I have also applied and did so in May. I wish we will also hear from the school now and not have to wait till mid August

I just applied earlier this week. My status says application is in review. Does anyone if it is rolling admissions/ a time frame for when we hear back? Also, what is the acceptance rate? My cumulative GPA is on the lower end, but waiting on a decision is soo tough!!

is anyone here thinking about Washington squared?

From the website, I think we will hear back 4-6 weeks from the priority deadline. I also think it's rolling admissions, but I'm not sure about the acceptance rate tho ?

Yes! Do you know if there is a separate application for that? I can't seem to find it anywhere on their website?

Hey. I believe its rolling admissions. I applied in April and I found out I was accepted in June but they said that was because I applied through the veteran's application.

so when they admit you, if you chose that option on your application they will send you a separate application so you can interview with Medstar! I hope we hear back soonish. are you from the dmv area?

I haven't received anything about the Washington Squared. I wonder if they would send like a separate email about the program...
