George Brown or Centennial - RPN to BSCN Bridge for Sept 2021

World Canada CA Programs

Published

Hello everyone,

Anyone else applied the Bridge 2021 at George Brown or Centennial?

want to wait for offers with me?

I am wondering if I can hear from past students at either of these two school about their experiences?

When did offers come out? hard to get into? They are both listed as noncompetitive?

Did you like the program? I heard these schools are not really self-directed like McMaster programs, care to share your thoughts?

Thanks in advance.

anybody on here apply to mohawk? they are requesting we submit all documents by April 15th including the registration to cno. my school most likely won't have us registered by that time.

you cannot get into mohawk as you have to write the CPNRE by may 31... first we can write is June.. conestoga is the same... no go for this year... I applied but withdrew once they made changes to the dates.

Yes exactly what MOMTORN said... it’s unfortunate but I really researched everything especially when graduating this year and trying to start BScN this year.. Mohawks admission officer told me via email I would have to wait until next year

hi mom torn!! No no reply yet LOL but I'm also still waiting for my school to send the CNO my info so I can register for the exam ? If you are worried about getting in for September you should change your start date to January or may 2022, if the school you want offers that! Less people apply in the January and may semesters so the applicant pool is smaller ?

I am thinking to apply for January 2022. that's 3 semesters tho. do you think the ryerson portion will start the following year( January 2023) or we will have to wait again.

So I am now applying for a temp license for when school is done April 16th, I will then ben registered with the CNO and can send Centennial and GB my proof of registeration. At least I can fill that part so all I have to do is write and pass in June:)

I am able to get a temp license because I have a job offer.. Anyone finishing this April, look into if your placement will hire you on or apply to hospitals in your area, job fairs are great source for jobs too.

Hows everyone doing?

Hi mom torn!! Amazing! That is awesome news ? Fingers crossed for you that this will be all they need for you to get an acceptance! I actually have a job offer at my current placement but I’m currently doing an externship at St. Joseph’s in Toronto so I was hoping to get hired on there. But I didn’t even know a temporary license was an option. Much to think about!!

Anyone else have a hard time waiting for their acceptance letter? I found out my Casper test got marked last week and I am just waiting to hear from GBC....

the waiting is awful.. I am waiting for my application to be evaluated later in the admission cycle to see if I am given a spot so I am told from GBC, and waiting for centennial. I even applied to the full BSCN at Seneca/York... not sure if I can go there as I will have a license as an RPN by the start date.. every other school says you cannot apply for the 4 year program if you are already an RPN but theirs doesn't so I applied and sent an email asking if that was allowed.

Fingers crossed for you, let us know when you hear!

That’s good to know. My school is not sending our names yet to CNO until you pass the final exam(pregrad) and that’s not happening yet until end of April even if I am finishing placement by the end of this month.

I also got a job offer at my current placement(LTC). Not sure if I want to accept the offer or not. If I eventually do I will also apply for the temporary license
