I've been told by numerous people that NCLEX ONLY gives generic names. I emailed NCSBN & asked & got the following response: NCLEX uses the generic name in the item with the trade name in parentheses. However, some items may contain only general classifications of medications and, therefore, would not provide the generic and trade names.I'm still confused so my question is can anyone give me any suggestions? I'm not that strong in pharmacology but I do know a the brand names of drugs when I see them. Now have to know only the generic name scares me. Please help.
I only saw generic.
