I'm not on a waiting list but hearing from more than a few people that nursing programs RN and LPN in my area are FULL, some up to 2 years waiting list.. WOW
Some people have considered going out of State to Indiana.
I wonder if there are less seats or just many more people applying to nursing programs these days.
Just wondering if anyone else has heard of long waiting lists in their areas.
Thanks, Marie

I live in Indiana and its just as hard to get into a Nursing program here as it is there. There are wait lists. The school I am going to only accepts 100 students in the spring and 150 in the fall.

Come to Pittsburgh!!!
We have lots of programs, all different kinds and no waiting lists.
I think part of it is because we do have so many different types of programs (hosptital, university, BSN, ASN) and my area has a very large elderly population and a very small young to middle aged population - so there isn't as much competition to get in as there are not a whole lot of people applying.
