I need to get one. I would like the most current one. Do they make new ones every year? Also, can someone suggest one that they really like? There are so many different ones.

Thanks! :p

My school requires us to have a Taber's. It's the most popular as far as I know. They come out with new editions every so often. I think the current one is the 19th.

We use the Taber's dictionary also...................

Specializes in Gynecology/Oncology.

Anyone have Webster's? I read some reviews, and that seems to be the preferred one. (And it's much cheaper). That's the one I'm leaning toward so far.

Specializes in Telemetry/Med Surg.

We also use Tabers.

Taber's is great...Mosby's is, too- lots of really good pics in that one.

Specializes in Pediatrics.

We use Taber's. I have it on my PDA, but I also have one on my shelf for quick reference. I like it a lot. Some people have recommended Mosby's, but for I have noticed that Taber's is the required dictionary of a lot of the nursing schools in my area.

Taber's is our required text.

Taber for medical dictionary, Webster's is fine as a general dictionary.

And if you want to see the word used in a sentence, then I would suggest Longman's.
