Well, I am taking A&P next semester. It used to be 2 classes, A&P I and A&P II, but they have combined them into one class now. Are there any study aids that I could be looking at over the summer that might give me a head start when school starts in the fall?

First all I can say is WOW!!! A&P in one semester, we barely made it thru in 2, even with that we did integument, endocrine & reproductive as take BIG home assisgnments. So during that time we were really working on 2 body systems.
Get your books for the class as soon as available and if the Anatomy coloring book is not required get it to use for studying.
Good luck :)

a friend of mine recommended a CD-rom to help study with A&P. I haven't started the class either and wanted to get a headstart. The CD-rom is called Body Works 4.0 and so far its a pretty cool study aid. It has individual lessons and quizes for each section. Most of the graphics are in 3-d and you can rotate them in any direction. I got my copy at Amazon.com and after shipping it was under $15.00 My version came with a second CD, the Home Medical Advisor, I haven't checked it out yet, I'm still on the proximal and distal phalanges of the hand (see i'm learning some!)

Hi,
I just took A&PI for the spring semester. What I would suggest is to keep up with the reading and understand it. While reading, if there is something you don't understand, use your dictionnary because chances are that word you will see it throughout the whole book. Some books come with CD-rom. If yours does, after each chapter do the quizzes. I also used the internet for extra quizzes and tests. The best thing, is to be ahead of your teacher. My teacher advice us to study for at least 20 hrs a week and it worked for me. You'll do just fine. Good luck.

Hi! At half.com Body Works 4.0 etc only costs like $2.50. I buy stuff from them all the time and really like their prices and have been happy with everything. They are part of ebay I think.
Anyway, just thought I'd give you the heads up!
:)
Thanks everyone! I just want to be prepared!

I love the Body Works CD ROM. I also have A & P made incredibly easy. They were both very helpful to me. I have a coloring book, but I really didn't use it much.
Good Luck!
