"Don't let the fear of the time it takes to accomplish something stand in the way of your doing it. The time will pass anyway; we might just as well put that passing time to the best possible use." --Earl Nightingale
Very positive quote. I thought it was my time to share it with you all. My father called yesterday and told me this is so many words, and then my friend emailed me the quote today. (She had no idea I had already spoken with my father about this matter) So that means that God has a message for me. And it is my job to share it with you all, as some of you may need to hear this right now. Have a good day :)

Awesome quote. I think all of us here can relate to that. Another one I like, which I'm sure everyone has heard, is by Eleanor Roosevelt. Any of us who were ever scared of Nursing and didn't think we could do it can relate to this one.
"You gain strength, courage, and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face...You must do the thing you think you cannot do."
Good luck everyone...keep going...you will get there. :)
:) Does anyone have any other encouraging quotes?

The way to live a long and healthy life is to develop a chronic disease and learn how to cope with it.
(I teach diabetes education and this is an appropriate quote for my clients!)
I cannot control anything or anyone around me. However....I can control myself and what I do in my own nursing practice. Many times, by changing my response, or my practice, in the end it also changes others around me. (Imogene King nursing theory believer.)
This is the way I have been able to survive in nursing since 1976! 28 years!

Ohhhhh I hope this thread continues. These are marvelous quotes! Thank you. Recently, I came across a quote by Sir Winston Churchill "If you are going through hell, keep going.". Just struck me as suitable.
Thanks again.

I thank you so much. This quote and the others were right on time. I have been searching for motivational quotes to keep me going. Just something to be able to ponder on that can help me hold up my chin one more day. Please keep this thread going. God Bless you jemommy.
