I'm in the market to buy a nice, new stethoscope (love that littman lightweight). I'm petite however and 28" scope is way too big and looks plain funny. Is it OK to cut the tubing to make it an acceptable length? Will it effect the sound quality? I have a cheapie one that I cut and the sound is moderate to poor (probably b/c the scope is just cheap!!!) Do specialty websites sell smaller versions? Thanks in advance. Congrats to all those graduating in May!!! :balloons:

I'd planned on getting the Cardiology III ($159) because i loved the sound quality. But i could hear just as well on this style when i test drove it in the ER the other night. Plus it didn't weigh a ton either.
