I am so excited. All the questions that I've had for months will be answered today.

Wow, you're orientation day is early! Mine isn't until August. I'm so excited, but it's making this summer go by so slow. Ha ha. Enjoy orientation!! And don't forget to ask all of the questions you have! Hope you have them all written down!

Yay! Have a great time! I was so glad ours was in May...I would've gone crazy waiting all summer to get the details!

Good luck. :) Tell us how it went.

Let us know what questions you asked... I've only got two written down and I feel like there are many more I wanna ask!

Let us know how it went after you get back from orientation. My orientation is not until the 2nd week in July! :/

You guys are making me so excited to "hopefully" get a letter in the mail soon!

My Orientation is tomorrow at 8:30 AM. I'm soooooo excited that this day is here, yet so nervous at the same time. Good luck to everyone hitting the ground running this Summer :w00t:

Journee2, please write back as well and let us know of any questions we should be asking at our respective orientations!

Thanks,

Oh man. I feel so behind. My orientation is Friday and I don't have any questions at all? What should I be asking?

congrats! i have orientation next week. been calling coordinators & financial aid counselors all day...and planning for orientation. would love to know how your orientation goes & what was covered!

One thing I highly recommend is getting your hands on an updated copy of your Nursing School's handbook. A lot of answers to questions can be found there. It was very helpful to have our Financial Aid Officer attend orientation because she gave us our paperwork detailing what loans/grants had been applied and what balance or credit we had on the account. We got to meet our Clinical Instructors, received our book list for the next 2 years, got issued our Hospital ID from Security, and reviewed uniform requirements.

I honestly did not have many questions because most of them were answered via the handbook, or just a quick phone call/email to my Admissions Director but I did ask them about the Dual Admissions Program they have with Thomas Jefferson University (who to call when it's time to start the BSN program there, etc) and if the Hospital was willing to hire students as CNA's so they can gain experience and make ends meet while in school (that answer was YES!). We have another orientation coming up next month and that's when we'll get our Clinical Group assignments and start getting into our Core Course information. By the way, we also have a REQUIRED summer reading list.

If you don't already have these apps please add them to your iPod/SmartPhone

Well, so much for not having any questions. I think I asked close to 100 throughout the day. I feel so prepared now though. And scared!
