Wow - have we not all been here, done that? The more nervous some folks get, the more they sweat, others blush, some stutter. And....everyone has their own situations that are sure to set off their nervous habits. What do you stress over? And how do you keep the stressful responses under control?

Or maybe some people sweat more than others in general :o

That used to happen to me when an instructor would ask me a question. I'd remind myself quickly and silently to take a second to organize my thoughts my thoughts so I wouldn't forget anything. At the same time though, the type-a part of my brain would be telling me that she'd think I

didn't know the answer unless I spit the answer right out.

I am always hot anyway, but when I was being watched closely or I felt I was under pressure I would sweat. I always had to have an extra scrub top to change into about half way through the day. Now I am a little more comfortable with at work so I don't have a problem, unless someone messes with the thermostat.

I honestly wish I sweat when I'm nervous. Instead I have the urge to take a royal dump. I'm not saying that to be gross, but it's true and we're all nurses/nursing students so I'm comfortable talking about it. But I hate it, especially in clinicals.

I'm a sweater! Hyperhidrosis! I realized today I need to keep calm thru the crazy occurrences in the life of a nurse.
