Do you guys use laptops in your nursing classes? Just wondering....

With all the stuff we have to lug around, I wouldn't want to have to worry about a laptop too.

Since I type faster than I write, I opted for a cheaper and more portable alternative. I hook up my TungstenE which has a documents program to a portable wireless keyboard and type away. The keyboard is really pretty quiet. The result is beautiful notes that I print and file away. If I had my choice between a pocket PC and a laptop, I'd choose the pocket PC. You can put it in your purse, bookbag or pocket. A pretty handy tool.

I'm going to school online and absolutely love my Sony Vaio TR3A - its a tiny laptop, wireless and ready to go.

Some few people (3 or 4) use laptops in class. Since our nursing school is separate from the university we don't have wireless access. I thought about bringing mine to class since it is easier and all of our notes are online. But I don't because there are hardly any outlets to put the laptops into.

I wanted to revive this thread to ask if there are any voice recognition software for Palm computers. Although I have my desktop right now, I'm looking into either getting another desktop, a laptop and/or a palm pilot.

This is what I wanted to know too....
