Know someone who did NOT pass the final?

I'm just wondering if there are students in your class that did NOT pass the final. My class is graduating in January and we just took the big final. Whispers are that as many as 10 did not pass! I am so surprised.

Do you have students in your class at this late a stage that did not pass the final? Right before graduation?

Yes, we lost a few. Most people that didn't make it are the ones that didn't take the reading assignments seriously...or thought they could skate through nursing school like the did the prerequisite classes. Then, sadly, there are the 1 or 2 that did everything they could...but didn't make it. Those are the heart breakers...those fellow students that TRY and still did not make it.

About the alarm clock thing..... I've made a few mistakes and then learned to set TWO alarms just in case. Then the flip side of that is that I learned to put those clocks outside or remove the batteries on the rare mornings I am able to sleep in!

there was one girl who failed (first qtr) final, but the thing that stinks is if she would have done a take home assign. worth ten percent of our final grade and turned it in (she forgot it...TWICE!!!) then she would have passed.

We had another girl who was passing at the time of the final, and did so horribly on it that she failed out of the class.

These were both in pharm. Everyone passed our theory final. They were also both in first qtr

I personally have heard of 3-4 students who did not pass one of our 2 main finals.....pharm/theory....although most of those seem to be the LPN bridge students. It just seems that most of those people just couldn't quite get the hang of the change from real world to school world...1st semester we lost like 20 people and many of those wound up coming back through and going on to 2nd now....takes all kinds, just focus on YOUR dream....you are the only reason YOU pass or fail....

Interesting because in my class all the LPNs did great and the ones who were in danger of failing and the ones that did fail were second year RN students.

The school would not budge on letting them pass saying they have to draw the line somewhere.

The line does have to be drawn somewhere. If schools are constantly being lenient on passing people who missed the line by 1-2 points, it just hurts them in the long run.

my school is a little easier with a 75% cutoff and roundups on half points. 2 of my classmates didn't make the grade on the last test and failed. They will have to repeat the semester.
