my acceptance letter! I got into the BSN program I applied for (provided I make at least a "C" in chem this semester).

My enthusiasm is a little dampened by the fact that I may not be able to go (money issues - quitting my full-time job, etc)... I had the same problem when I applied to rad tech school last year. :o

Now that's over, on to waiting to hear from scholarship applications... keep your fingers crossed for me! :)

Congratulations manna! Great news! best of luck with your loans! :balloons:

congrats on your acceptance! I knew you were a shoe-in anyway!

I really hope that you get enough scholarships/loans/grants so that you can go to school this time. I know that you have kids and that factors heavily in the equation, but you may just have to take a leap of faith, quit your job and go to school instead of putting it off again. I would think that by quitting your job and having 2 kids that you would get lots and lots of grants and loans. I remember when my husband and I were both in school, we lived off of our grant and loan money and worked during breaks to bolster our bank account. We had some lean years and ate a lot of beans and rice, but we survived. Since you will not be working, will you qualify for state assistance? maybe WIC for the kiddos? I remember that in KY the board of nursing had a program where you received $3000 a year in exchange for working as a nurse for a year in the state. Do you think MS has something similar?

Also, I don't know if this is a concern or not, but I wouldn't worry right now if you do have to take out a lot of loans. Once you are out you can file for a consolidation loan and get a lower interest rate and have a longer term to pay the loan off. I think my student loans are somewhere around $23,000 and my monthly payment is $160. Not great but certainly manageable.

Sorry to write a book, but don't give up! there is a way out there to do this!
