I am so excited I just had to share. I graduate this May and on Thursday I had an interview for my GN position where I did my externship at. The interview was in the ED of a level 1 trauma center. I got the job and start the first week of June. I am so excited. I thought for sure that I would have to do a year of med surg first, but I got hired in. I am really going to be taking on a lot when I start and have so much more to learn. It's all starting to finally come together.
When the lady in HR handed me the RN job description I thought I was going to fall off my chair. Now all I need to do is pass my final semester and then NCLEX the first time and I am on my way to my dream job! Anyways, I just thought I would share my good news.
Thanks. It is such an awesome feeling. It's like that very dim light at the end of the tunnel has put on the high beams. I am so happy that I am going to be working in the ED.
