Finals are in three weeks--in my program you have to get a 75%--no rounding--on the final to pass the class--doesn't matter if you are going into it w/ a 100%. Anyway, I am losing it here--I am really stressed about school right now. Clinicals are exhausting and then we have all these papers and tests and AGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG! I need some PRN ativan!:rotfl:

How do you guys study for comprehensive finals? I have med surg, ob and mental health all back to back and I just dont even know how to start.

Ugh.:bluecry1: I am so ready for this freakin semester to be over!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I don't even get to relax over Turkey-day--poor me, right?

Of course you can relax over Thanksgiving. You are entitled to one day off then will be ready to tackle things.

If your finals are comprehensive and you passed the other tests, then you should not have a problem with the final. Just reread your notes.

I could use some tips on studying for a comp. final as well.

Doesn't seem fair you can fail the class by tanking the final even though you've upheld your grade the whole semester. That final ought to be made less challenging than regular unit tests.

Can anyone give some insight about the difficulty of comprehensive tests??

as far as insight into comprehensive finals, i can offer this: the questions will most likely be general concept ones, which are much easier (imho) than the unit tests, which can test on small minute concepts within the material.

just think about it. there probably are 100 questions on the entire exam, covering the entire semester. how much can they ask on each subject? not much! :)

not sure how much help that is, but i have consistantly done well on comprehensive exams because of that.

good luck, and definitely take thanksgiving OFF! i know i am!

Start rowing because I am in the same boat...stressed out! We have this group project where we have to write a paper on the nursing process. We are going into like our 20+ hour and our tenth page and we still have to get together today. Then I have a test the monday we get back. I have so catching up to do on reading but it will double as studying for the monday test. And I do not even want to stress about what grade I need to pass:bluecry1:

Comprehensive finals suck! My final is 12 Dec and I must remember everything from 07 July (when my semester started) till 29 Nov (last lecture). Luckily its only worth 28 percent of our grade. We need a 73% to pass. Its almost over hang in there!!!!!!!!!!!

Good luck to everyone!!
