Finally finished my last step!!!!

Today - I finally jumped through the last hoop in the "seemingly" never ending steps in the application process - yippee. It was an 8 hour CPR and First Aid Course. The instructor didn't have time to go over everything and there were a lot of questions on the test about material he never talked about. Thank God my old brain still remembered most of the material from my Corpsman days. I scored 100 on infant CPR and 90 on adult/children and the first aid, so I'm happy with the outcome (proves I'm not totally brain dead - yet). I thought if someone failed they'd have to retake the course another time - but one woman scored a 40 and he let her retake it 3 times (with lots of help from him) until she got the minimum score. I'm just hoping if she ever needs to perform CPR on someone - she'll know what she's doing.

Worst part is I have to wait until at least the 20th to find out if I'm in for the Fall or not - oh the agony of it all.. :uhoh3: SusanNC

I hope that time passes quickly for you!

I have to get recertified in CPR also. I thought I was going to have to take the full Professional course, but I had taken the Prof. one before - I though it was just Basic. I was actually going to take it today also, but found out I have shingles. :crying2: I'll probably take it through the Red Cross next month.

That is scary letting someone take the exam over and over. I'm glad she got the help she needed to pass it, but makes you wonder how much went out the other ear by the time she got to the parking lot. YIKES!

Great Job!! While you are waiting, do all the fun stuff you may not have time for once school starts up.

Good luck for the Fall!

Hugs!
