Hi everyone,
I was just curious as to what other schools do with exams. Do you get your exams back or do they keep them? I know that with distance learning, many of the schools do not give the exams back and in addition some do not provide much feedback.

We have the test with a seperate answer sheet. We go over the test in class, and all we get to keep is the answer sheet.
At least you get to review. We do not get to review our exams at all. As a matter of fact, I have one instructor that will not even answer specific questions regarding the exam. I don't think it's right. I don't see how the school thinks that we are to learn if we cannot discuss the exam. They are there to instruct; they should do just that.

We review the exam in class then they are collected. We are allowed to go to the instructors office ...after the exam to review them again and challenge anything we feel we need to.
This is usually our routine but it may vary somewhat from instructor to instructor. We can usually bring up questions in class during the post test review also. For example, someone may say "on #3 you said the answer was poop, but the book says it is also pee, on page 300" and the teacher will usually write down the page number and check it after class, then decide if she'll accept both answers. But sometimes someone will push it and say "well I though it should also be puke because of yadda yadda yadda" and the teacher will be like "get real" and we say oh well, we tried.

I've never gotten my exams back - and in most cases (now that they use scantrons), we don't even review them unless someone has a specific question.
