changing programs?

  1. I am supposed to start my second year in an ADN program this month, but my husband lost his job and we are most likely moving. Has anyone had to change programs and did you experience any difficulty transferring credits? thanks for any input.

Do not be too discouraged.. I know that for a fact that our CC will look at everything from other CC programs (or colleges) and transfer them in.

    Best wishes..

I have changed programs. Clinical type classes do not transfer well - they new school wants to make sure you do things THIER way..but all my prereqs transferred just fine.

I just wanted to wish you well. I have known a few people who have switched programs and not had any problems. Good luck to you and I hope everything works out for you.

It depends on the school some will transfer things easily others won't. My best advice get ALL your class syllabus NOW! Have copies of all of them. If you have a syllabus you stand a much better chance of having them transfer it. Your past classes go and get the syllabus for those too if you don't have them.

I know when I wanted to go back and get my BS/MS I called lots of colleges. One said they would not even honor my ADN and I would have to retake all the entire program at their school LOL. I kept looking until I found one.

Good luck and I am so sorry your hubby lost his job.
