I pay someone to come once a week.... the best money I spend each week. It really frees me up to spend more time on school and with my little one.

I wish I could afford someone to clean my house. My house is a disaster, but I can't do much about it. So tough with kids (one 4 year old and one 31 year old...he's the worst). I just spent an hour doing dishes. I always say that I'm not going to let them build up like that...but it always happens. Got 5 loads of laundry to do tomorrow..but still have last weeks to put away yet. The only clean place is my bathroom...can't stand a dirty pot. If I get this new job I'm looking at, I'm definitely hiring someone to clean. I really won't have time then...

we just pick up enough stuff so people can walk through the house. and about once a month i go on a tangent cleaning spree and get things caught back up.

dust bunnies are still my friends but someday i'll hire someone to "spring clean" everything for me.

man, i hate cleaning. :chuckle i'm shampooing carpets now. that should tide me over in the cleaning department for at least another 6 months. :chuckle

i really wish i could afford someone to come in and clean for me. but it just isn't in the budget right now.

From a recent email sent to me.... author unknown.

Dust if you must, but wouldn't it be better
To paint a picture or write a letter?
Bake a cake or plant a seed?
Ponder the difference between want and need?

Dust if you must, but there's not much time,
With rivers to swim and mountains to climb,
Music to hear and books to read,
Friends to cherish and life to lead.

Dust if you must, but the world's out there
With the sun in your eyes, the wind in your hair,
A flutter of snow, a shower of rain:
This day will not come around again.

Dust if you must, but bear in mind
Old age will come, and it's not kind,
And when you go--and go you must--
You, yourself, will make more dust.

Oh this is funny! Um, I have 4 kids going on 5. I pick up constantly! BUT, I never have time to deep clean and my house never really is quite how I want it. One of the reasons I want to get through school is to have enough money to hire a housekeeper. That is one of the first things I am going to do when I get a paying job.

Didn't they just come out with that study that says dust and dirt help strengthen the immune system and prevent allergies? Hey, I'm doing my family a huge favor -- some day they'll thank me for living in chaos...

One of the first things I was told when I started school was that I had to learn to let the house was hard, but I have learned. Trying to get in the habit of actually cleaning again....that's gonna be hard,LOL

Try to do a little each day, if I let it pile up I can't catch up. Panic if someone knocks on the door tho. Always some clutter but underneath it is clean. That's what matters isn't it?

I just recently dubbed my dryer as my new official dresser. All my clothes stay in there until I'm ready to wear them...or until we can't walk around the mountains of clothing everywhere else!

Um,I really should be studying but i just have to add. They should be condeming my house soon! I swear the last time I cleaned the house, jesus was an infant! I am cleaning next weekend just before I put the tree. back to the books for me!

I can't stand a dirty house so I clean first before I study. Sometimes I study all night, I am desperately looking for wake up pills. hehe.

I have a housekeeper come in once a week. I agree, it's the best money you'll ever spend. Days off are for fun with family. What a stress reliever to live in a clean house! No more embarrassing moments when company drops by. If I decide to havea party, I can concentrate on cooking a nice meal instead of wearing myself out cleaning.
