Awesome Clinical

I had my first clinical today. I was up all night last night, I was so nervous this morning that I didn't even want to go in. Well, every thing went fine! I had a great time! Besides, isn't this what I have been working so hard for :) LOL! I have the same pt. next week, so I am looking forward to seeing her again.

It is so cool to hear that students are having fun and learning alot in their clinical settings!

I love clinicals, but don't like all the paper work that goes with it the night before.LOL. But it does help you learn, rewriting all the meds, side effects, etc....

Today I gave IV push meds (Lanoxin, Vasotec) for the first time. I admit I was kind of scared. Those were the longest 5 minutes of my life.LOL :)

Our group is on a step-down unit, all pts are on telemetry. Today the charge nurse asked me when I graduate, she wants me to consider working on her unit after completing school. That made my day.

Today went really well, even though some students didn't show up which gave us more patients the day went really fast! Learned alot and each time I am so in awe of how hard everyone works!:)
