Are you mistaken for a jet setting flight attendant?

I can not even get half of my school books in my back pack. I am thinking I will stop at Costco after school and get one of those bags with wheels. I always though those people looked kinda dorky...this is school not the terminal! Looks like I will have to buy a one way ticket to dorksville!

Any one else use the bags with wheels? If not, now do you get all your books around?

I told myself I'd never be caught dead with a backpack with wheels. You should see me trotting around campus now with that thing dragging behind me. I may have had to eat my words, but my back is thanking me.

LOL! this is funny. I always hated those stupid totebags on wheels too, but I ended up getting one to save my back. I took it to school for the first time today. My boyfriend and I were walking from the car to our classes, my "suitcase" was making all this noise on the pavement, and he was like "that is the most annoying thing ever!" lol. When I don't need to bring as many books to class, I still use a regular backpack though so I don't have to do the flight attendant thing everyday, lol.

A day or two of getting HIM to carry the books for you should have cured that....

I have always hated rolling backpacks so much, but I broke down and bought one for NS. I am such a weenie w/ my back anyway though. I ended up getting a Jansport one at my bookstore, so I could charge it against my loans and grants. It was $56, but online the cheapest one I found like it was $55, most were $70, so that's not too bad.

Same Here!! Finally broke down and got a rolling one this year. I've used it one week and love it so much I could care less if I look like a dork or not. We don't need our books in class but I like to study in between classes.

Day 1 of class, a handful of us had rolling backpacks, a few had luggage packs, Day 3 of class 99% have rolling backpacks. We're all flying to LPNdom and our backs are loving us for it! (our brains are another matter altogether).

Count me in as well! Just this weekend I went out and bought a rolling backpack at walmart for $20, nothing fancy, but my back will thank me.

I used to think they were dorky as well (sorry!), but now I don't care. I will be using it for clinicals as well.

The reason I didn't mention it is because unfortunately I can't remember! The name isn't written anywhere on the pack or my receipt. The receipt shows only an inventory number of 013383 TVC 45520-CL ROLL BP, which Bags & Baggage could probably look up and tell you the name.

Thanks GratefulHeart-------I found a High Sierra rolling backpack at Bags &

Baggage. It wasnt cheap but I dont mind. $99.00-- I will be able to use it for actual

travel one day if I ever make it out of RN school!!!!!!!!! :nurse: Their website is www.highsierrasport.com I got the AT304

Gotta run! Got a flight to catch!!!

I love, love, love my rolling backpack! I bought it from eBags for around $100 when I was taking A&P and Micro at the same time.

In high school (quite a qhile ago) I carried all of my books all the time and my back always hurt me.

I don't care if people think I'm a dork or if I look like an idiot. I love my backpack and my back loves me!

It also has a special laptop section. I don't have a laptop, but I use the padded section for more books. :)

I always thought those things were dorky too, but I really want one now. This is my third semester in the nursing program, and I still haven't gotten one yet. I've been telling my husband since day one that I want one, and he just makes fun of me. But the other day before school started, I was gathering all of my books, and he was like, "All those can't be for this semester!" I told him they were, and he said, "You need one of those rolling bookbags." (Like I had never mentioned it before.)

Lots of people in my class have them. And I swear, one girl has a small rolling suitcase. Sometimes we have to walk a really good ways to class, and my upper back and neck just kill me by the time I get where I'm going.
